Financial Management Services Department provides the following support services to UCLA Administration
- Produce monthly Operating Statements for departments and consolidated financial reports for Senior Management
- Manage the annual budget submission and approval process and subsequent revisions
- Maintain the Essbase database which enables users within the organization to retrieve and analyze general ledger data from their desktop. This environment supports a detailed financial reporting and budgeting process, uniform roll ups at the organization level, and captures midyear updates to the budget based on actual performance
- Establish the Financial Benchmarks which are used to measure the financial viability of the Auxiliary Operations within the organization
- Compilation of the UCLA Administration Annual Financial Report and provide data for the Financial section of the UCLA Administration Strategic Plan
- Provide individualized accounting consultation and training to ensure the practice of sound financial management and accuracy of financial reports across the organization
- Coordinate the Organizational Accountability Matrix and the CAO annual certification
- Serve as Organizational Departmental Security Administrators (DSA’s)
- Participate in the annual risk assessment with Audit & Advisory Services
- Manage the Internal Audit program for the Organization
